We here at Cable Fork Truck Services have our own ITSSAR accredited training centre in Harlow and we
are also able to train at your company site anywhere across the south east.
We employ our own trainers we cannot be beaten on price.

Please see a list of our courses below.

Novice operator: For people who have never had any forklift truck experience

Experienced uncertificated operator: For people with some experience on a forklift truck.

Refresher training: This training is for operators that have been previously trained and hold a basic operators certificate.
This should be carried out at set intervals as described in the company risk assessment for forklift operation.

Conversion course: This course is aimed at anyone who has a certificate for a forklift truck & wishes to operate a different type of forklift.

All forklift training courses are offered on a maximum of 3 people to 1 instructor.

We can train people on Counter balance (Cat B1 & B2), Reach truck (Cat D1), Multi-directional side loader (Cat M)
Order picker (Cat E2 or high level E1), Articulated, jib and PPT.

The law requires forklift truck operators to be trained regulation 9 of the Provisions and use of work equipment regulations (Puwer 98) states:

“Every employer shall ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training”

Adequate training means sufficient for the job which, for forklift truck operators, will be measured in days rather than hours.

There is no specific time period after which you need to provide refresher training or formal assessment, however you may decide automatic refresher
training or a retest after a set period (Health and safety recommendation is 3-5 years) is the best way to make sure employees remain competent.
